5 STEPS TO A RECOVERY RITUAL

CREATE YOUR PERSONAL RECOVERY RITUAL

The most important thing to remember is to bring love into every aspect of your ritual. Make it special.

STEP ONE

SET UP. Clear your sacred space. Put away any clutter, wipe down any dust, clean any glass objects or tabletops. Consider using sage or ring a bell to clear the energy of your space. Let the light in if that is an option. Make a cup of tea or coffee and consider lighting candles and/or incense.

STEP TWO

PREPARE YOURSELF. Clear your own energy. Do some yoga, pray, meditate and/or sage your body. Ask to clear your channel of any obstacles standing in the way of a deeper and clearer connection to your Higher Power.

STEP THREE

LISTEN. In the quiet and stillness see what comes up for you. Let go of any judgments and simply notice what the clearing allows you to see and feel.

STEP FOUR

READ. Dive into recovery-focused literature connected to the Step you want to work on.

STEP FIVE

DIG INTO YOUR TOOLBOX. Spiritual meditation books, angel cards, journals, pendulums, etc. Now that you are clear and connected see what messages come through with these tools. See how these messages connect to your recovery.

Create your own ritual intuitively. Consider tapping into the elements of nature, the five senses, your religious or spiritual beliefs, the energy of loved ones, chanting, or any other spiritual practice that speaks to you.

No matter what you decide to do, if you come from a place of love and an intention to connect deeper spiritually it will benefit you. So what have you got to lose!
