PRACTICAL SKILLS
Learn how to understand what’s happening and respond with tools that actually meet the moment.
Because what works one day… doesn’t always work the next.
And knowing what to do in the moment makes all the difference.

When the tools don’t always land
You’ve likely experienced this—either in yourself or in someone you’re supporting:
• A practice that helps one day… and falls flat the next
• Anxiety that shows up differently each time
• Knowing many tools, but not always which one will land best
• Wanting to support someone, but not feeling confident about how
• Wanting to respond with more precision and confidence in the moment
This isn’t a lack of effort.
It’s a lack of clarity around what’s happening and how to respond.
Whether you’re just beginning or already experienced, there’s a difference between having tools and knowing how to use them in real time.

A Practical Approach to Understanding and Responding
The Practical Skills Module was created to bridge the gap between understanding and application.
It offers a clear, structured way to recognize what’s happening in the moment and respond with tools that are appropriate, supportive, and grounded in real-life situations.
This isn’t about adding more techniques.
It’s about learning how to:
-
Read what’s happening
-
Understand the underlying patterns
-
Apply the right support at the right time
Inside this training, you’ll explore:
◈ How to create clear boundaries and energetic safety
◈ The autonomic nervous system and how it influences mood and behavior
◈ What anxiety is and the different ways it presents
◈ Practical yoga-based tools to support anxiety in real time
◈ What depression is and the different ways it presents
◈ Practical yoga-based tools to support depression in real time
This Training Is For You If:
• You’re a yoga teacher, counselor, coach, or practitioner who wants to feel more confident supporting others
• You’ve learned practices but want to understand when and how to use them more effectively
• You want to respond with more clarity and precision in real-time situations
• You’re looking for grounded, practical tools... not just concepts
• You’re navigating anxiety or depression in your own life and want a more informed, supportive approach
Whether you’re supporting others or yourself, this training offers a steadier and more informed way to work with what arises.

A Grounded, Experience-Based Approach
This training is guided by years of experience working at the intersection of yoga, the chakra system, and Twelve Step recovery.
It reflects a practical, real-world approach... one that considers both the energetic and psychological aspects of anxiety and depression, while remaining grounded in what is usable and appropriate in the moment.
While this module does not focus on specific chakra practices, it is informed by an energetic understanding of the body and mind.
Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all method, this work emphasizes awareness, discernment, and thoughtful application so the tools you use are responsive to what’s actually happening.
Gwen Rebbeck is the founder of Yoga4Sobriety™ and serves as Core Faculty with Sacred Centers Academy, integrating the chakra system with practical application for recovery and everyday life.
This is a space to deepen your understanding—and strengthen your ability to respond with clarity and confidence.
