FULL MOON
January 31, 2018 will offer us a total lunar eclipse. "This full moon is the third in a series of three straight full moon supermoons – that is, super-close full moons. It's the first of two Blue Moons in 2018. So it's not just a total lunar eclipse, or a Blue Moon, or a supermoon. It's all three … a super Blue Moon total eclipse!" http://earthsky.org
So what to do with this energy?
The full moon offers us a powerful, amplifying, and creative energy. Because of this powerful energy it is a time to release what no longer serves you, bringing this naturally occurring force behind your intentions.
Fire Ritual for Release
PLEASE BE SUPER SAFE WHEN USING FIRE IN YOUR CEREMONY
Create a sacred space where you can safely release this energy, preferably outside. Use candles, incense, music, or anything else that will bring meaning to this ceremony for you. Be sure to include a safe bowl to burn a piece of paper in. Any large ceramic, glass or metal bowl, staying away from plastic or paper bowls for obvious reasons. Alternatively a fireplace or fire pit.
Center yourself in this sacred space with slow deep breathing. Say a prayer or two (Seventh Step prayer works beautifully here). Chant. Mediate. Clear the mind's eye.
Now write down what not longer serves you on a small piece of paper. Take that inventory and place those shortcomings in black and white in front of you. Be clear on what you are releasing.
Next write down what you what you invoke. What positive energy do you want to pull in?
With your bowl in a safe place light a corner of the paper with your shortcomings on it and ask your HP to be released of them.
Once you have RELEASED now light a corner of the paper with your invocations and ask your HP "if it be your will please allow me to..."
Once all has cooled do not throw the ashes in the trash. Place the ashes on the earth to fully complete your ceremony.
The focus of the full moon ceremony is the RELEASE. Try to release yourself from what no longer serves you. ♥
