CHAKRA WATER INFUSIONS

The human body is roughly 60% water, and each of our organs is made up of water. According to Medical News Today, the brain and kidneys lead the pack being made of 80-85% water.

When we spend more time in the sun in warmer months, it is important to hydrate. Check out these delicious healthy infusions to make hydration more fun and refreshing.

The first and one of my favorites is the well-known Sassy Water recipe. This recipe is often used to help reduce belly bloat. It is a delicious blend of flavors that feels good in the body.

  • 8 cups filtered water

  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 1 medium cucumber, peeled and sliced thinly

  • 1 medium lemon, sliced thinly

  • 12 fresh spearmint mint leaves

FIRST CHAKRA

Ginger Carrot Beet Water

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 - 2 inches ginger root grated

  • 1 - 2 carrots sliced

  • ½ small beet slice

-

The first chakra is connected to the earth. Infuse water with these delicious root veggies for extra grounding and nutritional benefits.

SECOND CHAKRA

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 - 2 oranges sliced

  • OPTIONAL mint leaves

-

The second chakra is connected to water, and the Sanskrit name Svadhisthana means sweetness. Infuse your water with juicy sweet oranges to add pleasure to your daily water intake.

THIRD CHAKRA

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 - 2 lemons sliced

  • 5 - 10 chunks of pineapple

  • OPTIONAL 1 - 2 inches grated ginger

-

The third chakra is connected to fire. The combination of lemons and pineapple can help create an acid/alkaline balance—lemons aid digestion, part of the third chakra.

FOURTH CHAKRA

  • 1 cucumber sliced

  • ½ cup mint leaves

-

Pull in fourth chakra energy with light, refreshing greens.

FIFTH CHAKRA

  • 4 cups water

  • 1 cup blueberries

  • ½ cup blackberries

  • OPTIONAL fresh sage

-

Add the energy of the color blue to your water. Sage has long been known to support healing in the throat and mouth.

SIXTH CHAKRA

  • 4 cups water

  • 2 plums cut into cubes

  • 1 cup Concord grapes

  • Grated ginseng

-

Deep purple and blue fruits rich in antioxidants for optimal health and ginseng to keep the third eye energy center focused.

SEVENTH CHAKRA

  • 4 cups of water

  • 1 cup chamomile tea

  • 12 sprigs of lavender

  • Lemon (optional)

-

Lavender and chamomile bring calm to mind offering assistance in connection with the Higher Power of our understanding.
