This is a perfect starting point if you want to apply yogic techniques for anxiety and depression into your yoga class, one-on-one sessions, or in your personal life.
Facilitator Gwen R. will share mindfulness practices that can be used one on one or in a group setting with people struggling with anxiety and depression.
We will cover the following:
- Understanding boundaries as a yoga teacher
- The autonomic nervous system
- What is anxiety
- Types of anxiety
- Practical skills to support students with anxiety
- What is depression
- Types of depression
- Practical skills to support students with depression
- Resources to direct students to seek professional help

30 Days prior to training a partial refund of one half of the registration cost will be issued or registration cost can be applied toward another scheduled training.

Gwen has been actively in Twelve Step recovery since 1991 and brings an understanding of the program, who her students are and what they need to her classes. Gwen founded Yoga4Sobriety in 2013 after her own yoga and recovery journey brought the two worlds together for her. A simple repetitive approach to give regular reinforcement of recovery principles and yoga practices to build on already existing treatment programs and Twelve Step living is her goal.
